Der 8. Berlin Tango High steht vor der Tür. Am Donnerstag eröffnen Cristina und Homer Ladas den diesjährigen Sommer High mit der ersten von insgesamt elf Classes, so wie einer Show am Abend auf der Tango High Lounge im Nou in Mitte. Der Tango High hat traditionell ein "drop-in" System, was bedeutet, dass man ohne Anmeldung einfach kommen und mitmachen kann. Da letztes Jahr der Unterricht teilweise sehr voll war, bieten wir in diesem Jahr 2-stündige Classes an, die auf 15 Paare beschränkt sind, und zu denen man sich anmelden kann um sich einen Platz zu sichern. Es gibt noch ein paar freie Plätze (siehe unten), und wenn Plätze frei bleiben kann man auch spontan kommen und mitmachen. Die stets aktuelle Belegung findet ihr auf unserer Homepage. Neben den Classes gibt es sechs 1,5-stündige Practicas, die jeweils von zwei Lehrerpaaren gemeinsam unterrichtet werden, und für die eine Anmeldung nicht erforderlich ist. Die Practicas haben ein "drop-in" System und man kann auch ohne Partner mitmachen. Vier Lehrer werden gemeinsam unterrichten, was sowohl interessant ist, da unterschiedliche Ideen zu einem Thema deutlich werden, und was auch genug direktes Feedback für alle Teilnehmer garantiert. Jeden Abend laden wir zu Tanzveranstaltungen ein. Einige davon haben eine alternative Ausrichtung, andere sind rein traditionell. Es gibt Live Musik und Shows. Und am kommenden Samstag haben wir hoffentlich trockenes Wetter für einen Hit & Run, bei dem wir an öffentlichen Plätzen tanzen. Der Abschluß des Tango High am 19. August ist gleichzeitig unser Jubiläumsball, der nahtlos in ein Wochenende voll Tango übergeht. Zum ersten Mal laden wir zu einem Tango Marathon ein, dem Nou "Highthon". The 8th Berlin Tango High is just around the corner. On Thursday Cristina and Homer Ladas will open this year's summer High with the first of eleven classes, as well as a show at the Tango High Lounge at Nou in Berlin Mitte. The Tango High event has traditionally been a "drop-in" system, which means that one can come and participate without registration. Since last year some classes were very full, we are offering 2-hour classes this year that are limited to 15 couples, and to which you can sign-in to secure your place. There are still a few places left (see below), and if places remain free you can also come and join us spontaneously. Check our Homepage for daily updates. Besides the classes there are six 1.5-hour Practicas, each taught by four teachers, and for which a registration is not required. The Practicas have a "drop-in" system and you can join without a partner. Four teachers will teach together, which is interesting as different ideas will be explained and discussed, and what also guarantees direct feedback to all participants. Each evening we invite you to dance events. Some of them have an alternative approach, others are purely traditional. There is live music and shows. Next Saturday we will hopefully have nice weather for a dance hit and run where we dance in public places. The closing night of the Tango High on August 19th is also our anniversary ball, and it flows seamlessly into a weekend full of tango. For the first time we invite you to a Tango Marathon, the Nou "Highthon". All information will be updated daily on our homepage.
